Something I definately want to see sometime soon: I just found out the world’s 2nd largest building is located in Europe – thanks to Nicolae Ceauşescu. For stats/photo’s/etc, see the web – but this is not easily found: the names the joint had:

Casa Republicii (House of the Republic), the original name
Casa Poporului (House of the People), the internationally known name
Palatul Parlamentului (Palace of the Parliament), the first post-Communist era name
Palatul Poporului (Palace of the People), the current popular name
Casa Nebunului (Palace for the Crazy / the Fools House), the nickname
