I personally believe that Web 2.0 is actually impossible to correctly call/name yet as we are currently in the midst of the changes (there is currently no real/disruptive innovation yet – only progressive innovation). Alas, Tim O’Reilly invented it and we all call it Web 2.0, so we are stuck with it.
The new waves to come on the internet are: reputation & attention management. Some examples have already been created: the eBay API, Attention.XML, etc. Web 2.1 anyone?
