Life is simple (again).

Eve Ensler is the playwright of The Vagina Monologues and The Good Body and founder of the global movement V-Day, which is working to end violence against women and girls. In a presentation from TED2004 she mentioned a fundamental truth that immediately made my life so much easier: when we give in the world what we want the most, we heal the broken part inside each of us. In other words: if I give the world what I had wanted to be there – it will give me happyness (because, speaking along the lines of Tony Robbins who was also at TED, a purpose outside oneself that gives a happy moment or life to another is a gratification of a level one can not get from any other method).

If I work to improve the world and remain approachable for the questioning yough + eventually help establish the wide-spread availability of brain-based education, I will only need to be able to eat to be truely happy.

Could this be my new mission statement for my life? Her eis my “old” one:

Bringing about balanced success that leads to and supports growth in the four success areas – mental, spiritual, physical and financial – through creating choices and understanding their impact and concequences (on and for myself and those around me).
